During Dacia’s recent rebranding announcement, the firm unveiled a new camper conversion kit for the Jogger. Dacia had previously hinted there would be a standalone Jogger Camper model, but we can see it’s an optional accessory for the standard car.
The value-oriented seven-seater, which shares underpinnings with the current Renault Clio, was revealed with the camping kit at a special event which included the debut of the Manifesto EV concept and Dacia’s range of rebranded models. With the rebrand we can see the Jogger also receives the new ‘DC’ logo on its grille.
The camping conversion removes the third row of seating, leaving the Jogger MPV as a strict five-seater. In the boot there’s a wooden box with Dacia’s new logo on it and above it there’s a three-piece double-bed mattress that folds over on top of the rear seats.
Dacia will include a huge four-person tent that can be attached to the boot of the Jogger. It’s not known if the tent itself can be folded up and stored in the box in the boot, the roof-mounted box or somewhere else, however. Unlike the new Volkswagen Caddy California, there’s no mini kitchen.
If you do want a sink and/or a portable stove, several companies such as Campal and Camperiz have already launched their own Jogger camping conversion kits. If you’d prefer the official Dacia one, you’ll to wait until 2023 when it goes on sale for an as-yet undisclosed figure.
